Lazaro Amed Hierrezuelo Zumeta
Lazaro came to Slovenia 16 years ago with his band. Although he was not used to such low temperatures, he could not resist the beauty of Slovenia and stayed. Lazaro is an excellent musician who plays several instruments. We dancers know him for playing the drums. His energy is contagious and everyone who hears him play the instruments starts dancing. Lazaro Amed Hierrezuelo Zumeta was born in the city of El Vedado in Havana and spent his childhood and adolescence there. In Cuba, he was introduced to life, as well as to music, which was always his whole world. In his family, his late grandfather was also a musician (he played the guitar and was a wonderful singer in various famous Cuban bands), and Lazaro's father was equally musically talented (he played the piano). Lazaro decided that music would also be his life and began to learn the violin, piano and percussion. He completed his violin studies at the local music schools and faculty and successfully performed with Cuban bands. In Slovenia, he got the opportunity to earn money and work here, so he also enrolled in a Slovenian language course and today he no longer has any problems with it. Lazaro is enthusiastic about his work, the people around him and grateful for the opportunity to live in the most beautiful country in the world, Slovenia.
